What is Super Hold'em?
Super Hold'em is No-Limit Hold'em with one extra card: once river betting is complete, exactly one sixth community card is dealt and the hand goes straight to showdown.
There is no betting after the sixth card, so the river betting round is the last chance to act. At showdown you make the best five cards from your two hole cards and the six board cards.
2-7 players, No-Limit; the sixth card adds a final swing without changing how the rest of the hand plays.
Starting cards
2 private cards. No-Limit betting.
How to play
- Preflop betting.
- Deal the flop (3 community cards), then flop betting.
- Deal the turn (1 card), then turn betting.
- Deal the river (1 card), then river betting and showdown.
Showdown / sixth card
After river betting finishes, deal exactly one sixth board card and go directly to showdown. No further betting. Best five of your two hole cards and six board cards wins.
Which Super Hold'em is this?
Several games are called Super Hold'em. The SophiesPick version deals two hole cards and adds a sixth community card after river betting, with no betting on that card. It is not the three-hole-card variant offered by some online rooms.

Common mistakes
- Expecting a betting round after the sixth card: river betting is the final round, the sixth card is dealt and showdown follows immediately.
- Reading the river as the final board: a hand that leads after five board cards can still be overtaken by the sixth.
- Confusing SophiesPick's Super Hold'em with three-hole-card games of the same name played elsewhere; here you receive two hole cards.
